The Charles Evans Whittaker Courthouse is fully accessible for persons with handicaps. Ramp access is located at the southeast corner of the courthouse at 9th and Locust. Handicap parking spots are available in the courthouse parking lot located between Oak and McGee and 8th and 9th Streets just west of the courthouse. Persons needing assistance to enter the courthouse may call the U.S. Marshal's Office at 816-512-2038 for assistance. A wheel chair will be available for use in the courthouse.
Directions
Traveling in from the north over the Paseo Bridge Take I-35 south over the Paseo Bridge, continue on I-35 south, keeping to the right. Take the Grand Avenue exit. Turn left at the stoplight of the Grand Avenue exit. Go to 8th Street and turn left. Go two blocks. Our building occupies the entire block between 8th and 9th Streets.
Traveling in from the north over the Heart of America Bridge Take Burlington south over the Heart of America Bridge. At the stoplight just past the bridge, keep to the right and continue south. Go one block. Our building occupies the entire block between 8th and 9th Streets.
Traveling in from the north over the Broadway Bridge Take 169 south over the Broadway Bridge. At the stoplight just past the bridge, continue south on Broadway. Go to 8th Street and turn left. Go approximately 8 blocks. Our building occupies the entire block between 8th and 9th Streets.
Traveling in from the east on I-70 Take I-70 West to the 13th Street exit. Follow 13th Street to Locust and turn right (approximately 3 blocks). Follow Locust north and turn left onto East 9th Street.
